After School/Day Treatment Program
This program is for children and youth ages 5 to 18 years old with behavioral, social and emotional concerns. Our goal is to prevent further disruptions and to stabilize the children/youth's lives so they can grow to become healthy, responsible adults.
Services Offered:
A variety of skills are taught including anger management, conflict resolution, impulse control skills, social skills and communication skills. There is homework/tutoring time and a recreation group as well. For some youth there are two specialized tracks offered in our day treatment: 1) a two day recovery/prevention program for youth, ages 12 to 18; and 2) a two day independent living/vocational skills program for youth, ages 14 to 18. Program hours are 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Each child/youth attends the program three to five days a week or two days a week if only in a specialized track. Transportation is provided. Each child is assigned a case manager who closely works with the child, family and other service providers, including the school, to provide an individualized treatment/service plan.

How to access:
Some insurance, such as Medicaid, will pay; most do not. DCFS, DFS, Mojave Mental Health and other mental health professionals may fax a referral sheet to us. Along with the referral sheet we must receive a Comprehensive Assessment. If a child is Medicaid eligible a CASII completed in the last 90 days will need to be done as well. Consents will also need to be signed by the DFS worker if the child is in custody of the county.
Length of program:
Twelve weeks. In some cases it may be the recommendation of the team for the child to continue beyond the 12 weeks.
Appropriate for Services:
Children and youth ages 5 to 18 years old with behavioral and emotional concerns. Youth must have a DSM-IV diagnosis; there is clinical evidence that the youth's condition requires a structured program with treatment that cannot be provided in a less intensive outpatient setting.; there is adequate social support for youth to be able to maintain safety outside of the program; and, there is a reasonable expectation that the youth will improve demonstrably within the next 6 months.
Not appropriate for Services:
Children and youth who need 1:1 supervision for protection of self or others.
Medicaid
Children and youth must have Fee-for-Service Medicaid; have an SED Determination within the past year and a CASII score of Level 3 or higher.
Basic Skills Training Program
Services Offered:
The rehabilitative interventions include concrete skills training such as self-care, basic living skills, household management, social skills, communication skills, parent education, organizational skills, time management and transitional living skills. In most cases this service is offered in a 1:1, home or community setting. The number of service hours rendered weekly varies according to need.

Only Fee-for-Service Medicaid insurance will pay for this service. DCFS, DFS, Mojave Mental Health and other mental health professionals may fax a referral sheet to us. Along with the referral sheet we must receive a Comprehensive Assessment. A CASII completed in the last 90 days will need to be done as well. Youth with significant behavioral, personal care, vocational, educational and/or social impairment; youth with primary mental health issues which are distressing.
Not appropriate for Services:
The youth and/or family who do not wish to participate in services, the youth requires a higher level of structure, intensity and supervision beyond the scope of service, the youth is a risk to self and others and a higher level of service is needed, or the youth can be safely maintained and effectively treated in a less intensive environment.

Youth and/or families that may need a service which spans a variety of modalities and/ or disciplines in order for progress to occur; the youth has a functional impairment which can be addressed in an in-home or community setting; the youth displays inappropriate behavior that repeatedly needs intervention by the mental health, social services or judicial system.
Not appropriate for Services:
The youth and/or family who do not wish to participate in services, the youth requires a higher level of structure, intensity and supervision beyond the scope of service, the youth is a risk to self and others and a higher level of service is needed, or the youth can be safely maintained and effectively treated in a less intensive environment.
Youth Behavioral Health Network of Nevada

Program:
Outpatient Mental Health Services. The Network is actually a separate organization than R.O.C.K. but we work closely with them.
Services Offered:
Assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, case management, psychiatric evaluations, medication management. In most cases these services will be performed in the youth's home, foster home or group home.
