Saturday and Sunday Programs

Sunday Worship Service

for the entire family - 10:30 a.m.

Join us for a non-denominal Christian Worship Service.  We teach from the Bible.  ROCK Christian Fellowship was formed from a calling from God and the adult ROCK Community to have a time, space and place to serve, worship, praise and develop a relationship with God.  Our goal is to make available an atmosphere of comfort and welcomeness to all that feel uncomfortable in many formal settings.  A place where all can come even if they feel they have messed up in life and messed up with God.  A place to get another chance without being put down.  A place to draw close to God again and be led by the Holy Spirit.  If this sounds like you, join us.  We are here and so is Jesus.  Even so, come Lord Jesus.  Rev. 22:20b

Our Kids Church meets on the first, second and third Saturday of the month.  The first two Saturdays kids of all ages attend.  On these days our teens, that have been with us for as many as ten years, teach the children ages 4 to 12 years old.  On the third Saturday of the month the teens study the lessons for the coming month and practice with the leaders.  The teens have done an outstanding job with their teaching.  This experience has been great not only for the teens but for the adults involved also.  The teens have shown us that not only were they willing to teach but were ready as well.  God has prepared them "for such a time as this."  They not only feel good about the role they are playing in Kids Church but they are being prepared for the future and the role they will play in the adult world.

The last Saturday of the month we schedule outings, specific activities, or we are closed.  Check our calendar for specifics.

Our premier program was our Kids Church.  Several weeks prior to our first service we leafleted the area near Lake Mead and J Streets.  We targeted this area because of the high-risk children who lived there.  It is a low-income, high crime area where there is a high level of low self-esteem.  Our first service was on November 1, 1998 in a rented room of the Doolittle Community Center.  It was held on Saturdays because Doolittle Community Center was closed on Sundays.  Twenty-four children from the area attended.  Many of those children, years older, are still with us today.   Our volunteer leaders included many of the same leaders with us today as well.

What is most unique about our Kids Church Leaders is that they are not only from many walks of life but from many different denominational home churches.
